STYLIST HUNTER TERMS & CONDITIONS
Welcome to Stylist Hunter (SH), owned and run by Jacqueline Parker, ABN 54 167 116 373.
Important Disclaimer: By using our online platform (www.stylisthunter.com.au) to book hair and/or makeup services, and ticking the acceptance box on our booking form, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agreed to both SH’s Terms and Conditions and your selected hair and makeup artist’s (stylist’s) Terms and Conditions (below). Please read all T&Cs carefully before making a booking.
1. GENERAL

Stylist Hunter (SH) operates as an online platform that facilitates introductions between a client (you) and individual trading hair and makeup artists (stylists), who each run their own independent businesses under an Australian Business Number (ABN). SH’s role is to pass on booking requests from clients to the stylists, recommend stylists who have been vetted for quality and professionalism, and provide quotes from those stylists’ businesses to clients. This is a FREE service to the client.

SH does not manage stylists’ calendars or handle bookings on their behalf. Once a client secures a booking, it is the client’s responsibility to liaise directly with the stylist to reconfirm all details prior to the appointment.

SH’s role is limited to facilitating connections and recommendations only, and SH is not responsible or liable for the work performed by the stylists. Clients acknowledge that SH’s service is entirely separate from the services rendered by the stylist, and SH makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the quality, suitability, or outcome of the stylist’s services.

The stylist’s full name and ABN are available in the stylist’s T&Cs, listed below.

By booking through the SH platform, clients acknowledge that the contractual relationship exists solely between the client and the stylist, and any disputes or claims arising from the services provided are to be resolved directly with the stylist.

Please note that by making your booking we have assumed implied consent to add you to our mailing list. Please email us at admin@stylisthunter.com.au if you wish to be removed, or use the unsubscribe button in any emails sent.
2. PAYMENTS & CHARGES

An initial deposit is required at the time of booking and will be processed/collected through the SH website on behalf of the stylist. The deposit is non-refundable, unless the stylist is unable to accept your booking. Please refer to our refund policy HERE.

SH does not process or handle any payments beyond the initial deposit. Any secondary deposit or the remaining balance is payable directly to the stylist as per their own individual terms and conditions (refer to their T&Cs below or any specific communication with the stylist post-booking).

Completion of the online booking form constitutes a contract of service between the client and the stylist.

Unpaid invoices that are overdue may be forwarded to a debt collection agency for recovery, including any associated costs.
3. SAFETY & INDEMNITY

The use of makeup, hair, and beauty products may result in allergic reactions, adverse health reactions, or injury. Clients agree to engage stylists at their own risk and acknowledge that SH and its affiliates are not liable for any injury, harm, or adverse outcomes arising from services provided by stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that the premises provided for services are safe, hazard-free, and suitable for the stylist’s needs.

Clients agree to indemnify Jacqueline Parker/Stylist Hunter and any stylist recommended by SH against all claims and all costs, liability and expenses incurred by SH, arising wholly or in part from the use of the venue, the client's breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any act or omission by the client, their visitors, employees, agents and contractors (including a negligent act or omission) in respect of:
a) Loss or damage to property; and
b) Illness, injury or death of any person.
4. RECOMMENDATIONS & ENDORSEMENTS

SH may provide recommendations or endorsements for certain stylists listed on our platform, based on previous experiences or a comprehensive vetting process. These recommendations reflect SH’s subjective opinion and personal experience but do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of the stylist’s performance, suitability, or outcomes of the services provided.

SH’s vetting process ensures that stylists meet our standards of quality and professionalism; however, clients acknowledge that SH does not guarantee the performance or results of the services rendered.

SH shall not be held liable for any discrepancies between recommendations and actual service outcomes.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jacqueline Parker/Stylist Hunter, including its Directors, Employees, Instructors, Subcontractors, and Agents, are absolved from any liability arising from damage, loss, injury, illness, death, loss to property, damage to property, or claims of any kind resulting from the use of the services facilitated through the SH platform.

By engaging a stylist through the SH platform, clients acknowledge and agree that Jacqueline Parker/Stylist Hunter is not liable for the actions, omissions, or services of the individual stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.

SH is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from cancellations, delays, or alterations to services provided by stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR PLATFORM USE

SH is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from technical issues, website errors, or interruptions in service on the SH platform.
7. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
-
Cancellation and rescheduling policies vary by stylist. Clients are responsible for reviewing and complying with the stylist’s specific terms related to cancellations and refunds.

SH is not responsible for any cancellation fees or disputes between the client and the stylist

SH is not responsible for any issues arising from changes to bookings, including but not limited to cancellations, rescheduling, or discrepancies in pricing or availability.
8. AMENDMENTS
-
SH reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting.
PAULINA LINFORD TERMS OF SERVICE

1. PAYMENT:
1.1 You agree to pay for the trial on the day of the trial by cash, or via EFT at least 3 days prior to the service date.
1.2 A non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee of $50 is required to secure your event/wedding date. This will be deducted from the total owing for the wedding/event date and is additional to any deposit paid directly to Stylist Hunter upon booking.
1.3 The wedding/event date booking will not be secured until a booking fee is paid. In some cases the booking fee may need to be paid before the trial to ensure your wedding/event date is secured.
1.4 Final payment of your invoice is due 7 days prior to your wedding/event date via EFT. Payment on the day can only be accepted for extra services not previously booked (eg. lashes or extra person).
1.5 An early morning fee of $40 will apply to starts before 6am.
2. CANCELLATIONS / CHANGES:
2.1 Booking Fees are non-refundable less than 3 months before the wedding/event date (if any other fees have been paid towards the wedding day total, this will be refunded, excluding any deposit paid directly to Stylist Hunter upon booking).
Cancellations 3 months or more prior to the wedding/event date will be entitled to a full refund of the booking fee, less any deposit paid directly to Stylist Hunter upon booking (This does not include the trial fee).
2.2 Any reductions in the booked number of people for your wedding will still need to be paid for in full, if less than 3 months notice is given. If your booking is for an event only, less than two weeks notice will require full payment.
2.3 Please notify me of any location changes as soon as possible. This may change your quote due to travel fees, early start etc. I will send you a revised quote if this is the case.
3. LATENESS TO APPOINTMENTS:
Please be available on time for your appointment. Clients who arrive late to their booking or are not ready to begin when we arrive run the risk of their job not being able to be carried out, in part or in full. This will be up to our discretion and will depend on how late the client is, and what bookings and commitments we have following the booking. Payment in full will still be required for the session, and any monies that have already been paid will be forfeited by the client.
4. ALLERGIES/ILLNESS:
4.1 I keep my brushes and kit sanitised and use only high quality and professional brands. You must notify me of any allergies to any products or ingredients, you or any of the bridal party may have.
4.2 If you are sick or contagious on the day of your trial, you will let me know and we will reschedule.
4.3 If you are sick on the day of the wedding/event you will notify me so that precautions can be taken (mask, gloves etc.)
4.4 You are obligated to inform me if you or anyone in your bridal party has a contagious illness/condition. This includes but is not limited to conjunctivitis, cold sores, cold, flu, measles, mumps, chicken pox, shingles, open cuts/sores, ringworm/fungal infections (above the chest). This is so that I can take precautions to protect my health and the hygiene of my brushes & kit, but using disposable brushes/sponges/gloves etc.
4.5 If I am sick or contagious on the day of your trial, I will advise you and a rescheduled date may be made to prevent you from getting sick.
4.6 In the unlikely event that I am extremely sick, hospitalised or unable to work on your wedding/event due to extreme, unforseen tragic circumstances, I will do my best to organise another artist with an equivalent skill level. If I am sick, I will take precautions (mask/gloves etc).
5. TRIALS:
Trials are generally up to 1 hour in duration per service (hair or makeup) and include ONE look. Minor adjustments are included eg. trying a different lip colour, darkening of eyeshadow/blush, pinning some hair up or making basic alterations to the hair etc. If a complete restyle is required where the stylist has to start ‘from scratch’, a new appointment must be booked and will be charged for in full as a separate trial.
6. MISCELLANEOUS:
6.1 You will need to ensure that parking is readily available at the location. Any parking fees incurred by the Artist will be payable by you.
6.2 If you choose not to have a trial, whilst all care will be taken, I will not be held responsible or liable in any way, if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of my service on, or after your wedding day.
6.3 At the trial you will be given instructions on what is required regarding hair & makeup preparation during the weeks/months before and on the day. If this advice is not followed and any extra work/time is required then additional costs may be charged on the day (eg if hair is still wet and I need to do a full blow dry).
6.4 I will apply makeup in a way to ensure that it lasts as long as possible. I will do my best to educate you on how to maintain your makeup to make it last, but some factors (such as high humidity and oily skin) can cause makeup to become shiny and to shift. It is your responsibility to blot and powder throughout the day to ensure that your makeup stays on. I can guide you as to which powder will look best in your photographs.
6.5 You also acknowledge that I may use your photographs on my website, portfolio and promotional material (unless otherwise communicated).
6.6 You understand that once you pay the booking fee you are legally bound by this contract. By paying a booking fee you are also confirming that you have read and understood the information provided, and that you agree to the above terms and conditions.
