STYLIST HUNTER TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Stylist Hunter (SH), owned and run by Jacqueline Parker, ABN 54 167 116 373.

 

Important Disclaimer: By using our online platform (www.stylisthunter.com.au) to book hair and/or makeup services, and ticking the acceptance box on our booking form, you indicate that you have read, understood, and agreed to both SH’s Terms and Conditions and your selected hair and makeup artist’s (stylist’s) Terms and Conditions (below). Please read  all T&Cs carefully before making a booking.

 

 

1. GENERAL

 

  • Stylist Hunter (SH) operates as an online platform that facilitates introductions between a client (you) and individual trading hair and makeup artists (stylists), who each run their own independent businesses under an Australian Business Number (ABN). SH’s role is to pass on booking requests from clients to the stylists, recommend stylists who have been vetted for quality and professionalism, and provide quotes from those stylists’ businesses to clients. This is a FREE service to the client.

 

  • SH does not manage stylists’ calendars or handle bookings on their behalf. Once a client secures a booking, it is the client’s responsibility to liaise directly with the stylist to reconfirm all details prior to the appointment.

 

  • SH’s role is limited to facilitating connections and recommendations only, and SH is not responsible or liable for the work performed by the stylists. Clients acknowledge that SH’s service is entirely separate from the services rendered by the stylist, and SH makes no warranties or guarantees regarding the quality, suitability, or outcome of the stylist’s services.

 

  • The stylist’s full name and ABN are available in the stylist’s T&Cs, listed below.

 

  • By booking through the SH platform, clients acknowledge that the contractual relationship exists solely between the client and the stylist, and any disputes or claims arising from the services provided are to be resolved directly with the stylist.

  • Please note that by making your booking we have assumed implied consent to add you to our mailing list. Please email us at admin@stylisthunter.com.au if you wish to be removed, or use the unsubscribe button in any emails sent.

 

 

2. PAYMENTS & CHARGES

 

  • An initial deposit is required at the time of booking and will be processed/collected through the SH website on behalf of the stylist. The deposit is non-refundable, unless the stylist is unable to accept your booking. Please refer to our refund policy HERE.

 

  • SH does not process or handle any payments beyond the initial deposit. Any secondary deposit or the remaining balance is payable directly to the stylist as per their own individual terms and conditions (refer to their T&Cs below or any specific communication with the stylist post-booking).

 

  • Completion of the online booking form constitutes a contract of service between the client and the stylist. 

 

  • Unpaid invoices that are overdue may be forwarded to a debt collection agency for recovery, including any associated costs.

3. SAFETY & INDEMNITY

 

  • The use of makeup, hair, and beauty products may result in allergic reactions, adverse health reactions, or injury. Clients agree to engage stylists at their own risk and acknowledge that SH and its affiliates are not liable for any injury, harm, or adverse outcomes arising from services provided by stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.

 

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring that the premises provided for services are safe, hazard-free, and suitable for the stylist’s needs.

 

  • Clients agree to indemnify Jacqueline Parker/Stylist Hunter and any stylist recommended by SH against all claims and all costs, liability and expenses incurred by SH, arising wholly or in part from the use of the venue, the client's breach of these Terms and Conditions, or any act or omission by the client, their visitors, employees, agents and contractors (including a negligent act or omission) in respect of:

a) Loss or damage to property; and 

b) Illness, injury or death of any person.

 

 

4. RECOMMENDATIONS & ENDORSEMENTS

 

  • SH may provide recommendations or endorsements for certain stylists listed on our platform, based on previous experiences or a comprehensive vetting process. These recommendations reflect SH’s subjective opinion and personal experience but do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of the stylist’s performance, suitability, or outcomes of the services provided.

 

  • SH’s vetting process ensures that stylists meet our standards of quality and professionalism; however, clients acknowledge that SH does not guarantee the performance or results of the services rendered.

 

  • SH shall not be held liable for any discrepancies between recommendations and actual service outcomes.

 

 

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

 

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jacqueline Parker/Stylist Hunter, including its Directors, Employees, Instructors, Subcontractors, and Agents, are absolved from any liability arising from damage, loss, injury, illness, death, loss to property, damage to property, or claims of any kind resulting from the use of the services facilitated through the SH platform.

 

  • By engaging a stylist through the SH platform, clients acknowledge and agree that Jacqueline Parker/Stylist Hunter is not liable for the actions, omissions, or services of the individual stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.

 

  • SH is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from cancellations, delays, or alterations to services provided by stylists or their Directors, Instructors, Subcontractors, Employees, Assistants or Agents.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR PLATFORM USE

 

  • SH is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from technical issues, website errors, or interruptions in service on the SH platform.

 

 

7. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING​

 

  • Cancellation and rescheduling policies vary by stylist. Clients are responsible for reviewing and complying with the stylist’s specific terms related to cancellations and refunds.

  • SH is not responsible for any cancellation fees or disputes between the client and the stylist

 

  • SH is not responsible for any issues arising from changes to bookings, including but not limited to cancellations, rescheduling, or discrepancies in pricing or availability.

​8. AMENDMENTS

  • SH reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting.​

Stylist's T&Cs

SCARLETT QUARMBY TERMS OF SERVICE
ABN 40 501 247 617

An initial deposit of $25 per adult hair or makeup and $10 per child hair or makeup will be collected via Stylist Hunter upon booking. A further deposit will be required shortly afterwards, bringing the deposit to 50% of the total booking amount. Deposits and are non-refundable, however are transferrable at my discretion in the event of a date change and are subject to date availability. Quotes are not negotiable and I cannot hold dates without payment. I will send a confirmation message around one week prior to your date to confirm the address/time for the day and remind you to pay the remainder of your invoice. If this is not paid, I reserve the right to cancel your booking and not attend your appointment. Once the 50% deposit is paid and booking confirmed, I am unable to reduce original booking numbers and the full amount of the initial quote still stands. I may be able to add people to you booking based on my availability. Any change to venue may increase my travel fee but will never be reduced based on the original quote.

Any parking fees we incur as part of the booking are to be arranged and paid for by the client, unless otherwise stated.

I require a sufficient area with natural lighting and a hip height table to set up on the day (and a power point if we are doing hair). I will bring my own chair and a child-free lap is much appreciated if possible.

I may take photos so please advise whether you're comfortable having them shared on social media and I'd love to know your other vendors to credit/tag.

Please ensure you have a schedule on the day for each makeup application (around 1 hour per person) and i strongly suggest that the bride is not last. I love inspiration pictures to help me create your chosen look, preferably of real-life people. I always recommend a trial and suggest you book this when you have an event to really test out the makeup subject to my availability. I want you to be happy with your look so please always be honest about what you may or may not like. You will never offend me and we can always change it.

I can provide you with a list of recommendations for the following prep suggestions but please ensure you test well in advance of your wedding day to avoid any reactions; lash extensions, tinting, skin treatments such as anti-wrinkle, facials etc, hair removal, tanning and nails. I do not accept any responsibility for the above treatments. Makeup cannot cover texture such as acne or wrinkles (please see above). Please advise product preferences (allergies etc) and I will do my best to accommodate however cannot be held responsible if reaction occurs.

I will not accept antisocial behaviour such as bullying, racism or excessive alcohol consumption or drug use and reserve the right to leave with no refund at my discretion. I would also appreciate food and water offered especially after a long journey.

I can provide you with a small touch up tube of your chosen lip colour on the day, however, I would suggest you purchase one prior based on your preferences and am happy to help you choose. It is nice to have a keepsake of the day and often brides will also pick and purchase a lip colour as a present to their bridesmaids. Please all come to the appointment with a clean face and clean, dry hair.

My job is to make you look beautiful and have the best time getting ready. I am always more than happy to answer any questions. By booking with me, you accept all above terms and conditions.

By proceeding with your booking, you acknowledge that you have done so of your own free will and desire and have contracted with Scarlett Quarmby for these activities and that you have read and understood the warning above.
